Parents wishing to take their child out of school for any non-school related reason for more than three days must apply to the Principal. The decision to withdraw your child from school during the term is ultimately your responsibility. This has social, emotional and academic implications for your child.
Once permission has been granted, your child’s absence will show on our attendance records as being notified and unjustified. Please note, if your child is absent for 20 consecutive days, the school has the discretion to remove them from the roll. This is a Ministry of Education directive. They may be required to re-enrol upon their return to school and preference criteria will apply.
This form must be received by the school two weeks prior to the requested dates. If not approved, your child may be marked as Truant.
